On an almost daily basis we receive emails from keen Agent Ransack users asking for small improvements in the product, something regarding sorting, moving or hiding columns etc. Obviously we're very grateful for all suggestions but invariably we point them towards FileLocator Pro which already has the requested enhancement. This may sound like an underhand way to extract money from faithful users but there are important factors that make it a necessity:

Writing and deploying software costs money, to make Mythicsoft a sustainable venture we need to raise money and since we receive no money from advertising or corporate sponsorship we need to raise it another way.

Code Complete

On a practical side the Agent Ransack code base has reached a point where adding new features has become quite tricky. FileLocator Pro was a complete re-write of the Agent Ransack code base with a much cleaner and more extensible internal architecture that has thrived with years of improvements. It's far easier for us to add new features to FileLocator Pro than it is Agent Ransack.

Why upgrade?

Some people have said that Agent Ransack is almost too good and fulfils all their requirements so why should they upgrade? Other people have said FileLocator Pro is so much better than Agent Ransack that we should remove Agent Ransack to force people into giving FileLocator Pro a try. We'll let you decide and either way we're just happy to have you as Mythicsoft customer.
